Adventure Kids Learning Expedition
is an interactive expedition developed originally for fourth grade
students. This exciting learning adventure has now has expanded
to include grades 4-12.
This
adventure in learning was created by members of the Wisconsin Water
for the World Committee that travel to remote locations to help
those less fortunate obtain safe drinking water.
This expedition uses video conferencing
for a live interactive connection between the classroom and the
Adventure Kids Learning
Expedition team.
The
Adventure Kids Learning Expedition team consists of:
-
Engineers
-
Scientists
-
Educators
-
Students
- Computer
geeks
Live
connections via SKYPE originate from water tank construction sites,
village schools or even a local weaving co-op. Adventure Kids
Learning Expedition connections provide opportunities to integrate
Web 2.0 tools into the classroom- but more importantly, fosters
global citizenship and raises awareness to the global water crisis.
Adventure Kids Learning Expedition has been a great success.
The Adventure Kids are looking forward to bringing additional
expeditions with educational topics in the future to classrooms
throughout the United States.
